It was an exciting and uplifting experience to see people praying and on their knees before the Lord.  There were over 500 people and at least 40 pastors gathered on the afternoon of May 6th at the Civic Plaza, in the heart of downtown. Range!</title><summary type='text'>Last Wednesday I went to the driving range for the first time.  I am practicing for the 5th Annual Kingdom Causes Golf Marathon on Monday, October 12.  I didn't realize how difficult golf was.  I came away with sore muscle I never knew I had (my elbow pits were sore) and a bruise on my shin.  Yes my own golf ball ricochet off the side gate and into my shin. What have I been missing?!  Sunday morning a friend and I visited Antioch Missionary Baptist Church on Gundry and 15th.  We were a little late arriving and couldn't find a parking place and as we were driving and looking, this smiling man in a van pulled alongside us and told us if we would park in the parking lot his van would take us to the church. Hughes Middle School and Longfellow Elementary have been awarded FIFTY trees through a grant from the United Voices Coalition.  Hughes will receive 36 (15 gallon) trees and Longfellow will receive 14.The October date is the date set aside for the planting and volunteers are greatly needed.
